A tofu scramble

This is a delicious way to enjoy a perfectly cooked tofu for your breakfast and this is real quick to prepare. Vegans will adore this apart from a tofu salad. It is great to eat with nice crunchy slice of bread!

Ingredients:

  • Some dry tofu cut into chunks
  • Some turmeric
  • 3 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 small garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup onion minced
  • some oil

Preparation:

Take the yeast, garlic powder and turmeric add water to it and blend them all good. Keep aside. Then in a pan add some oil and heat then add onions and garlic minced let cook till light brown. Crumble the tofu so that it looks like scrambled eggs and add it to the onion and garlic, let cook for some seconds. Then add the sauce mixture and add salt and pepper. Let cook for 3 minutes. Let it be moist and can top with some green onions! Enjoy hot!

A no-bake Tofu cheesecake

Who does not like a nice smooth cheesecake with a crunchy texture? This tofu cheesecake is very easy and does not require a lot of time to prepare. The tofu is tender and moist and tastes delicious.

Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 120 gram Graham Cracker
  • 90-gram Melted Salted Butter

Filling:

  • 300 gram Firm Tofu
  • 250 gram Cream Cheese
  • 200 gram Greek Yogurt
  • 100 gram Raw Honey
  • 60 ml Unsweetened Soy Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 15 gram Gelatine Powder
  • 60 ml Unsweetened Soy Milk

Preparation:

Take the cracker and crumble it in a plastic bag or use any method you wish to crumble it. Then add the melted butter to it and mix it well. Then place this in your cake tray. Now take tofu and crumble this too to make a paste. Crumble cream cheese and add to tofu. Mix well to form a paste. Add the yogurt, honey, vanilla, soy milk to it and mix well till nice and fluffy. In another bowl take gelatine, some 60ml of soy milk and microwave for 30 seconds. Then add it to the mixture of tofu. Pour the batter in another bowl and add cocoa powder then mix well. After well incorporated add the mixture to the baking tray and let cook for 45 minutes. Then let it chill for at least 3 to 4 hours and serve!

Tofu Teriyaki

You can use some simple techniques to enhance tofu when you eat it. This does not take much time and it very easy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package tofu dried and cut into chunks
  • Sesame seeds
  • Canola oil
  • Sesame oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation:

Heat the canola oil in a non-stick pan and then a little sesame seeds for taste. Then add the tofu to the pan and stir it till crisp for 3 minutes.  Add some soy sauce to the pan, then sesame oil and some more sesame seeds if required, some salt and pepper and let cook for 1 minute then remove and serve hot with some nice green veggies!

Sweet and spicy tofu

This is easy to make and is healthy. It is low in carbs and light. You will enjoy this for your breakfast time! This is a great appetizer or snack.

Ingredients:

  • Slice tofu into cubes around 1 package (drench it in cornstarch)
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons of water or more

Preparation:

Heat oil in a pan and add tofu to fry till light brown. Then remove from pan and dry with paper towel. Now add some sugar to a saucepan, hot pepper flakes, and chopped ginger and crushed garlic, soy sauce, water, vinegar, sesame oil, and some pepper and let this cook over medium heat till it bubbles. Then, pour the sauce into the fried tofu and it is ready to serve!

Tofu in gravy

This is a Singaporean dish and it is spicy. It tastes incredible and the sauce makes it kick-start your senses. It goes well with tortilla or rice and even bread!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package tofu
  • 1 grated or minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon  turmeric powder
  • 10 dry chilies, 1 onion, 2 pcs garlic, 1 small ginger crushed
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Coriander leaf

Preparation:

Add some oil in a pan and fry the tofu till golden brown. When fried remove and keep aside in a plate and dry with paper towel. In the pan add some oil and sauté some onions, then add one tablespoon of tomato paste and some water to the onions. Let cook for 2 minutes or more. Then add a pinch of turmeric powder to give some color and aroma. Now add 2 tablespoons of the paste of chili etc. Mix it well for 1 minute and put heat on slow. Some water can be added for the sauce not to dry. Add some salt and mix. Let cook for some seconds or 1 minute. Then add the tofu slices to the gravy and mix it well. Let cook for 1 minute and serve!

Simple tofu soup

This is the simples tofu recipe ever that you can make any time and any day. The preparation time is about 10 minutes and does not require many ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • Some tofu cut into chunks and dried, should be firm.
  • Some green onions
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic and ginger paste
  • 3 cups of Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • Some Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • Soy sauce and oyster sauce

Preparation:

Take a saucepan and heat some oil, then add onions and garlic and ginger paste, let it fry for 2 minutes. Then add water to it and be careful because it will stir up. Then add soy sauce and oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Let it boil for some minutes and add more water for it not to dry. When starts bubbling add the tofu to it and let boil for 3 to 4 minute and can add more water. Serve hot and top with green onions!
